Cactus Restaurant has been the Lagos coastal dining institution for twenty years — the terrace tables with ocean views at sunset remain one of the city's definitive dining experiences. Craft Grill brings a more contemporary approach to Nigerian proteins. Lagoon Restaurant does excellent seafood right on the water.

Bukka Hut serves the kind of proper Nigerian food that Lagosians who grew up eating like this will bring non-Nigerians to show off. The pepper soups, the jollof, the suya — all accurate.
